Thoughts From Judy Stacee-Cleaver, Broker of Record, FRI, ABR

Though the long weekend came early this year, Sellers and Buyers are busy.

After a long hard winter of snow and cold and wondering what's next, pools are being opened, we’re decluttering houses and yards and planting flowers in gardens, because people feel better when the sun is out, even if it's on the cool side.

Most Sellers become Buyers whether upsizing or downsizing, and First time Buyers are excited for the opportunity of owning a home. There hasn't been a bank rate increase for awhile and people are ready to get on with their lives.

Kitchens and bathrooms are being updated in the hope of achieving the best price when selling. Those looking to buy are prepared to complete the renovations after the purchase, and are excited to be moving forward.

Realtors are meeting with prospective clients, providing home price evaluations and making recommendations for obtaining the best price possible in a Spring market that is ramping up as each month goes by. Stagers too are working more and have become a big part of selling your house today.

Knowledge is Power! Having a Pre-sale Home Inspection report gives Sellers the confidence that their home will pass inspection should the Buyer’s offer be conditional on a satisfactory Home Inspection. Knowing about deficiencies and issues ahead of time allows Sellers the option to repair these items prior to going on the market, rather than lose a sale or adjust the price because of a repair that could have been resolved earlier.

The Real Estate Spring Market may have had a late start this year but there is a new confidence now, that is wonderful to see.

Thank you for your continued support, have a wonderful month.
