Mincom New Choice Realty has belonged to a small Networking group in Durham for over 20 years. Membership has gone through its ups and downs during that time. As small business entrepreneurs, collectively we make a difference. Starting a business can be lonesome and scary, but having the support of such a group is helpful both personally and professionally.
Past and present members continue to give referrals to help grow our businesses. At year-end, we celebrate with a Christmas Party and members invite their employees, clients and friends to share in the festivities.
In warmer weather we hold our annual DCBE Golf Tournament and donate all proceeds to Bethesda House, a Shelter in the Durham Region for Abused Women and Children. Doug, who we fondly call 'The Blind Guy', owner of Rise & Shine Blinds, runs the 50/50 Putting Contest. George, another group member, owner of Majer Signs in Ajax, supplies the signs free of charge. Members can sponsor a hole to advertise their business.
This year's DCBE President, Heila, received all the proceeds on behalf of Bethesda House of Mercy Shelter. Heila also manages the Shelter and has been part of our Networking group for many years. We are so happy to give back for such a great cause.
Mary from C & W Web Developers along with Jo from Mincom New Choice Realty organized the dinner, prizes and awards for the tournament. Past member, Springcreek Golf Course in Claremont is where we've held our event for the past 23 years. Move over Tiger Woods...Paul from RBC Wealth Management landed his 1st Birdie! Great fun was had by all!
Loyalty and support. That's what it's all about.
