Thoughts From Judy Stacee-Cleaver, Broker of Record, FRI, ABR
ENOUGH ALREADY!
Baby it's cold out there. It's hard to enjoy the snow unless you are a skier, ice skater, snow mobiler or a kid. I know I'm grumbling but why not, many people are shut- ins and won't come out until the weather warms . Often watching the TV, the media will sensationalize world events leaving us with fear and a sense of doom and gloom.
After the Holiday season, as we look back, last year was chaotic and difficult for many, for others an opportunity. It has been extremely stressful , waiting for house prices to stabilize, waiting for interest rates to drop, waiting for Realtors to process new government policies , learn new technology on completely different platforms and new ways of doing business.
Major changes in the Real estate industry, political unrest worldwide and confusion in our own government, I believe have all contributed to slowing the market. I'm sure this was the case for many in other businesses and industries. Did we have a choice? No, I think not, because this is where it has led us to today .
We have been patiently waiting for the transformation to show us the way. Well now that it's here, the question is what to do with it.
As the population ages, for some retiring is not an option, for others retirement has been forced upon them, making them rethink their future. Change is not easy, but it is necessary. I see new ideas being developed, creativity and growth!
Releasing old habits, embracing change will bring personal and professional growth driven by careful planning and collaboration.
Thoughtful decisions and introspection help us navigate our challenges . Empathy, understanding and patience will strengthen our relationships.
Folks, it is a new year and no matter how things look, we have come through some pretty tough times. It even took me awhile to write my thoughts for this newsletter.
Do not give up , we all know tomorrows are full of possibilities. We need to think creatively, people still need shelter; food to eat and clothes to wear.
I'm taking a break with some of my colleagues to enjoy our annual Chinese New Year's lunch at the Mandarin, sampling lots of wonderful food from other cultures.
Thank you for sharing 2024 with us, now onto 2025 (as soon as the Sun comes out)
