It's All About Looking Up!

Summer Solstice Is Upon Us!  And so is the beginning of hope. 

Last month sales may have been down BUT things are looking up, just like the sunflower! Now that the Bank of Canada has lowered it's overnight rate, it seems enough to give people hope that more is soon to come. The short one minute video at the top of our newsletter says it all. 

June is solar-driven and high-powered. June is also a high-voltage month for potential in love, family and creative expression.                                                   June 21 is summer solstice. One of the symbols of this is the sunflower.

The symbolic sunflower meaning deals with beauty, delight, hope and joy. The sunflower moves itself in the most direct position in front of the sun so it can get the maximum sun rays. This is symbolic of spiritual faith, and worship because we follow our belief system as the sunflower moves to face the life-giving rays of the sun.

I couldn't agree more with Helen Mirren about this...

“I don’t think there’s anything on this planet that more trumpets life that the sunflower. For me, that’s because of the reason behind its name. Not because it looks like the sun but because it follows the sun. During the course of the day, the head tracks the journey of the sun across the sky. A satellite dish for sunshine. Wherever light is, no matter how weak, these flowers will find it. And that’s such an admirable thing. And such a lesson in life.”
